York Food and Drink Festival

Dear Sir / Madam

I write to recommend Temujin Restaurants to you as an outside catering facility, as they attended York Food and Drink Festival for the first time in September of this year.

We were pleased with the stand because, although they are based in Yorkshire, they offer our festival attendees something a little bit different.  All too often, you can attend Food Festivals and find hot food retailers of the same kind (burgers and sausages) but Mongolian Stir-fry is much more interesting.

We also found David Johnson, and his staff, to be both accommodating and co-operative.   As festival organisers, there are many details to take account of (Health and Safety being a key one) that some stand holders just seem unaware of.  Mr Johnson was very willing and helpful, for example, when asked to make sure his gas bottles were kept chained to his marquee.  He did so immediately.

The stand was paid for promptly and on time and they also got on with their neighbouring stands.

We would be very happy to have Temujin back at York Food Festival.

Testimonial for Temujin Restaurant

David Johnston, trading as Temujin Restaurant, has been an exhibitor at the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival for the past 2 years.  The food festival attracts over 50,000 people over 4 days.  The food served by Temujin is of a very high quality and offers something a bit different to a food and drink festival.  One aspect of his menu is that it also caters for vegetarians.

One of our objectives for the festival is to promote healthy eating and David does this by participating in our Kitchen Cookery Demonstrations which attract over 100 people to each demonstration where people get to learn how to cook different dishes.  David has a real flair for this and conducts the demonstration in a very professional manner.

Temujin has worked with us to ensure that all health and safety requirements on site are always met and leaves his exhibition space clean at the end of the event.

I hope David and his team are able to join us for our 2010 event which will be celebrating 10 years this year.
